For nearly 30 years, Sergio has helped Fortune 500 corporations, public institutions and non-profits develop communication strategies that address business challenges. He brings a passion for strategic storytelling and a problem-solving mindset to help organizations build trust with their most important audiences.
Sergio has significant issues management experience, having worked closely with senior leadership and communications team to address concerns around consumer product liability, industrial/environmental accidents and intellectual property. He has prepared board directors, senior executives and military leaders to effectively manage media interviews and address stakeholders at global/national conferences and townhall meetings. He has also developed and led national and local community engagement programs that have garnered trust and support for organizations including the U.S. Army, USAA, BAE Systems, ExxonMobil, Samsung and Verizon.
Previously, Sergio served as a senior strategist at global communications agencies Weber Shandwick and Publicis, and as a development officer at several non-profit organizations. He holds a master’s degree in communication from the University of North Texas and is a graduate of the Thayer Leadership Development Program at West Point and the Leadership Dallas program.
