On Friday, August 23, 2024, ReputationUs’s (RepUs) President Casey Boggs will lead and instruct a communication-based workshop for more than 30 national police department and Sheriff’s office’s captains, sergeants, majors and lieutenants during the Southern Police Institute’s 152nd Administrative Officer’s Course (AOC).
Taking key lessons from the corporate world and applying them to law enforcement, the workshop (“Law Enforcement Reputation Management and Crisis Mitigation: Enhancing Police Department Reputations and Communications Before, During and After a Crisis”) is designed to underscore the importance of building a strong reputation and improve communications within the communities the police leaders serve, while preparing a communications infrastructure for when a crisis unfolds. Law enforcement leaders will learn the importance of “playing offense” with their police department’s reputation, as well as learn critical preparation skills to “play defense” and communicate effectively during a crisis.
Casey Boggs is a global communications leader specializing in reputation management, internal communications, crisis mitigation, cyber incident response, public relations and spokesperson training. RepUs is a national corporate reputation management and crisis response firm.
