In the coming weeks, RepUs and DHM Research will nationally unveil the results of the first of its kind survey that links the impact cyber attacks have on corporations’ reputation. The study will also explore the variables of trust and confidence consumers have after a result of a cyber incident.
Sample questions include:
How confident are you that the following are effectively protecting your private financial, medical or other personal information:
- Your bank
- Your credit card company
- Your health care provider
- Your health insurance provider
- Your employer
- Your Internet provider
- Your cellphone provider
Which would you trust more to protect your personal information from a cyber attack?
- A small, local business
- A mid-sized, regional business
- A large, national business
If your bank or credit union were a victim of a cyber attack, what would you like the bank’s leaders to do:
- Pay the ransom to unlock the computer system, even if there is no guarantee the attackers will follow through and it will encourage them to strike again.
- Do not pay the ransom, even if it will likely make it difficult to access your bank or credit union accounts and expose your financial information to criminals.
Imagine a company that you like, have been a loyal customer, and would recommend to a friend. How likely would you be to remain a customer after a cyber attack occurred.
Stay tuned for the results!
